At the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, the athlete was a global sensation by scoring the very first perfect ten on asymmetrical bars. Then, in 1976, Nadia Comaneci was able to score six more perfect 10s, and was one of the fastest Olympic gold medallist. She did more than draw worldwide attention; she also put Romania into the limelight. With a score which was impossible to achieve heroism in sport, the athlete brought gymnastics to the forefront of international interest. It changed how people viewed female athletes. It was an event that had such a profound impact that she earned her the title of Olympic toe on as well as release maneuvers. They are rated extremely difficult. Alongside the Olympics she also exhibited a stunning performance at the World Championships and European Championships and was subsequently the living legend of her time and one of the greatest gymnasts anyone could achieve.
